Why?
Microsoft has been moving around the tech community, user voice and idea options quite a bit in the last few years. Even though it is often for the best, I need some consistency so I am going to log my ideas as part of my own blog ๐ค. Hopefully you will also add extra support to this idea on Power Automate Notes by voting on it ๐ช๐.
What?
This idea (Power Automate Action Notes also visible in an actual flow run ยท Community) is about the Power Automate Flow Editor where we can add Notes to Power Automate actions:
As a part of most best practice recommendations for Power Automate Flow Developers, it has proven to be a useful feature where you can explain into more detail what the action exact is for:
This has been appreciated by fellow developers or even business owners that did not create the flow themselves, but had to understand and even troubleshoot the flow. Therefor I would like to have these Notes also visible in actual historic flow runs for an even better Flow-reading-experience of actual runs ๐. Maybe show the Notes at the top of the action when expanding or even visible when the action is not expanded so it is always visible:
How?
Eventually you will find all my ideas among my blogs posts as these will be categorized with the category Idea as well as tagged with the tag Idea. Please vote here Power Automate Action Notes also visible in an actual flow run ยท Community so the Microsoft Product Team will have a look sooner ๐. More votes mean faster feedback from the Product Team ๐.
